In my 40+ years of working with clay I have always incorporated humor in my work. I enjoy cartoons, using lots of color, drawing and giving human qualities to animals-- and just fun things. My work is primarily hand-built from rolled slabs of white earthware clay. After the pieces are bisque-fired I draw and paint on them creating patterns with underglazes and finishing with a fine brush for detail. Everything is then fired with a clear glaze and is fully functional.
