I love being creative through art! And since I never could draw very well, my passion since high school has been expressing my artistic side through photography. For a long time I focused on landscape photography, but that quickly shifted to wildlife when my wife & I relocated to Maiden Rock ten years ago. I've always had a love for animals (birds included!), and the Mississippi River area offers plenty opportunities to see them! Initially, the goal was finding and taking close-up shots of wildlife - creative or not. Then, the challenge became capturing these animals in their natural element: interacting with each other, playing, hunting, etc. My goal is to tell a story through my photos and hopefully, bring a smile to a face. Over the past few years, I've taken my hobby on the road to animal rich places throughout the US, and even beyond! It's truly a hobby that keeps on giving, and I love it!
