Step into a world of art and music where the the landscapes sing and the bright brush strokes dance on the canvas creating a vibrational experience that refreshes the soul. Terra Guitarra© is the original painting style of Bruce Hecksel. These paintings are created using the guitar shape as a symbol to imagine the whole world singing. In addition to his stained-glass-like vibrant, highly textured style is a new series of guitar and heart labyrinths, neo-impressionist pieces inspired by our travels, and exciting new abstract pieces. Bruce Hecksel was a joyful, soulful artist and musician who embodied the spirit of thanksgiving and lived his mission to bring out the light and love in everything he created. His wife and musical partner shares his original paintings at the gallery along with Giclee prints, notecards and their 23 albums of music for sale. "The Terra Guitarra (landscape of guitar) series is designed for healing. When you think of the symbol, 'guitar', or of a bucolic landscape, or when you view abstractions they arouse feelings. For most these are feelings of beauty, simplicity and of nurture and combined together there is a deeper experience. Science tells us that everything is a vibration. Composing paintings with guitar trees, mountains, rivers, lakes, clouds, birds, I'm suggesting that all of our reality has a voice. The whole world is literally singing. Once we realize this we then choose to sing in harmony with it or make up our own song." - Bruce Hecksel (1967-2025)
