A self-taught award winning artist/photographer, fearless with a pencil in her hand, whose "painterly" colored pencil drawings "draw" the viewer into the scene whether landscapes, horse and pet portraits, wildlife or flowers. Up to nearly any artistic challenge, she has developed a way to combine her own moon photography and drawings into a totally new piece of art. Along with drawing and photography, Kristi also works in water media, woodcarving, and is a children's book author/illustrator, and has done illustrations for another author's books. She has exhibited throughout Wisconsin at many different venues. Inspiration comes from a deep love of nature, a passion for horses, and gardening on the farm she shares with her husband near Fall Creek, WI. Creating art in many forms has been a force living within me since childhood. Highly detailed with no harsh colors or edges, my art works to soothe and evoke a sense of calm in a chaotic world. We find what we seek. I search for peace for me and the viewer.
